Job summary

TEKEVER is seeking a Procurement Commodity Specialist to partner with Engineering and Manufacturing. You will shape a robust, scalable supply chain across Electronics, Mechanical, Materials, Powertrain, and Vision systems, ensuring components are sourceable at the right cost and volume.

You will join a mission-driven team delivering real-time intelligence and advanced unmanned technology, with early supplier engagement and design input throughout product development.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic procurement, commodity management, sourcing or supply chain within a technical manufacturing environment.
• Experience working directly with Engineering or technical teams.
• Strong understanding of supplier manufacturing capabilities and supply chain risks.
• Experience across electronics, mechanical, materials, powertrain or vision systems.
• Experience engaging suppliers during product development.
• A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on cost and supply.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle, from early concept through to production.
• Engage with engineers early to understand technical requirements, performance specifications and design intent.
• Provide supply chain input into component and technology selection.
• Assess whether proposed components, materials and technologies have a viable and scalable supply base.
• Challenge design decisions where there are significant cost, availability, capacity, lifecycle or supplier risks.
• Identify alternative components, technologies and suppliers where appropriate.
• Ensure procurement and supply chain considerations are embedded into engineering decisions rather than addressed once the design is complete.
• Support Design Reviews, Technical Reviews and New Product Introduction activities.
• Establish early supplier engagement where specialist technology or manufacturing capability is required.
