Job summary

TEKEVER is seeking a Procurement Commodity Specialist to partner with Engineering and Manufacturing. You will shape a robust, scalable supply chain across Electronics, Mechanical, Materials, Powertrain, and Vision systems, ensuring components are sourceable at the right cost and volume.

You will join a mission-driven team delivering real-time intelligence and advanced unmanned technology, with early supplier engagement and design input throughout product development.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic procurement, commodity management, sourcing or supply chain within a technical manufacturing environment.
• Experience working directly with Engineering or technical teams.
• Strong understanding of supplier manufacturing capabilities and supply chain risks.
• Experience across electronics, mechanical, materials, powertrain or vision systems.
• Experience engaging suppliers during product development.
• A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on cost and supply.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle, from early concept through to production.
• Engage with engineers early to understand technical requirements, performance specifications and design intent.
• Provide supply chain input into component and technology selection.
• Assess whether proposed components, materials and technologies have a viable and scalable supply base.
• Challenge design decisions where there are significant cost, availability, capacity, lifecycle or supplier risks.
• Identify alternative components, technologies and suppliers where appropriate.
• Ensure procurement and supply chain considerations are embedded into engineering decisions rather than addressed once the design is complete.
• Support Design Reviews, Technical Reviews and New Product Introduction activities.
• Establish early supplier engagement where specialist technology or manufacturing capability is required.

Mission:

We are looking for Procurement Commodity Specialists to work closely with our Engineering teams to ensure that our product designs are supported by a robust, scalable and commercially viable supply chain.

The commodity scope will span Electronics, Mechanical components, Materials, Powertrain and Vision systems.

This is not a traditional purchasing role. You will be involved early in the design process, working alongside engineers to understand technical requirements, challenge where appropriate, identify supply chain risks and ensure that components and technologies selected can be sourced reliably and at the required cost and volume.

You will become the procurement and supply chain subject-matter expert within the design process, helping Engineering make informed decisions about supplier capability, manufacturability, cost, lead times, capacity, technology maturity and supply chain risk.

What will be your responsibilities:

Profile and requirements:

We are looking for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in strategic procurement, commodity management, sourcing or supply chain within a technical manufacturing environment.
• Experience working directly with Engineering or technical teams.
• Strong understanding of supplier manufacturing capabilities and supply chain risks.
• Experience across one or more of electronics, mechanical, materials, powertrain or vision systems.
• Experience engaging suppliers during product development.
• A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on cost and supply.
