An established industry player is seeking motivated engineering graduates for an exciting two-year graduate programme. This initiative offers hands-on experience across various departments, including Design, Production Engineering, and R&D. Graduates will engage in innovative projects that enhance efficiency and safety in diverse sectors such as offshore wind operations and chemical industries. Participants will receive comprehensive training and mentorship while having the opportunity to earn external qualifications. This is a fantastic chance to kick-start your career in a dynamic environment with a focus on professional growth and development.
Further to our recent successful graduate schemes, AIS is looking to employ six new engineering (chemical, mechanical, civil, industrial etc.) or material scientist graduates to join our graduate programme for 2025.
About The Scheme
The scheme will consist of two, consecutive one-year placements in different parts of the business such as Design, Production Engineering, Projects, and Research & Development. You will then be invited to apply for a permanent position at the end of the two-year programme. You can expect to receive in-depth, practical experience within your placement and there will be opportunities to obtain external qualifications, e.g. APM Project Management, NEBOSH or support towards becoming Chartered via IMechE or IChemE during the programme.
What You Can Expect From The Programme
You’ll be aligned to one or more of our product lines during each placement in the programme – fire protection & insulation, marine, renewables or subsea. This means you could be working as an R&D Engineer involved in new product development and technical support, a Project Engineer ensuring efficient running of projects from the initial sales handover throughout the project lifecycle to final delivery or a Production Engineer taking manufacturing processes from concept and trial to full scale manufacture. Other potential opportunities could be in our quality, health, safety & environment (QHSE), procurement, sales, marketing or continuous improvement departments.
You could be working on solutions to help ensure the long-term efficiency, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and safety of offshore wind operations, on buoyancy, flotation and protection systems for ports and harbours or on innovative insulation and protection solutions for the chemical or energy industries.
You’ll get all the training you need to be successful in each placement as well as support from our leaders and technical specialists.
