Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Birmingham is seeking an Engineering Geologist to join our busy Ground Investigation team. Based near Birmingham, the role offers development opportunities and training, with a focus on phase 1 desktop studies, phase 2 investigations, and reporting.

The successful candidate will have Geotechnical or Geo-environmental experience, a relevant degree, good communication skills, a UK driving licence, and the right to work in the UK; commuting to the Worcester area is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Geotechnical or Geo-environmental position.
• Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, geology, geoscience, environmental science or similar.
• Confidence communicating with team members and clients.
• A full and clean UK Driving Licence.
• A full right to work in the UK.
• Be commutable to Worcester area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out phase 1 desktop studies and phase 2 investigations.
• Write factual and interpretive reports.
• Mentor junior team members.
