Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is working with a Global multi‑disciplinary engineering consultancy to find the best geotechnical talent in Wales, to join their contaminated land team as a geo‑environmental engineer. You will have the chance to work with some of the best ground engineers in the industry, on exciting large projects across Wales and the rest of the UK.

This permanent role is based in Newport with a competitive salary and generous benefits, including full training and exciting projects across

Qualifications

• Degree in geology or similar required.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Permanent UK work visa required for applicants.
• Experience with site investigations and environmental monitoring advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Site Investigations and monitor fieldwork.
• Conduct Environmental Monitoring and data collection.
• Perform GQRA/DQRA assessments and contribute to risk analyses.
• Develop Remediation Strategies for projects.
• Prepare Factual & Interpretive Reporting.
• Carry out Validation & Verification activities.
• Log soil and rock descriptions and interpretations.
• Complete Phase 1 PRA studies and site walkovers.
