Job summary

Searchandselect seeks an Engineering Director to define the strategic direction of the Engineering function, leading by example to uphold quality and customer service. Lead mechanical, electronics, embedded and manufacturing engineering teams, steering product development from concept through to manufacture and support.

As a senior leader, drive innovation, governance, continuous improvement, budgeting and cross‑functional collaboration with Product, Marketing and Operations.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering leadership in a design/manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
• Strategic thinking with strong execution capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned to business objectives and growth plans.
• Lead product innovation, technology roadmapping and protection of IP.
• Oversee full product lifecycle from concept design through to manufacturing and customer support.
• Establish governance, set performance metrics, and ensure delivery against targets.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing and Operations to align strategies and budgets.
