Their brand has been established for over 50 years, with more than 2,000 engineers across 70 countries, striving to provide excellent service to clients and customers. Due to internal promotion, they are seeking an Engineering Director for their UK business.
The key goal of this role is to ensure customers receive exceptional technical support in the formwork and scaffolding industry, maintaining the company's market leadership through innovation, continuous improvement, and strategic planning.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead technical support for major projects, facilitate product launches, and promote the business to key clients, contractors, and architects. You will oversee the Engineering Management Team, manage technical staff development, and provide product training. Supporting Regional Directors to maintain technical performance and driving the development of future staff are also key responsibilities.
Candidates should be Chartered Engineers with a civil or structural background, possessing experience in business management, strategic planning, and technical knowledge in formwork and/or scaffolding. Experience as a manager in the construction or related industries is preferred.
Strong leadership, teamwork, entrepreneurial thinking, and confidence in challenging others are essential. A full UK driver’s license and flexibility to travel within the UK and Europe are required.
