Job description

Overview

We are looking for an energetic and driven individual with broad expertise, however of particular interest would be candidates with aerospace or military experience.

This role represents a great opportunity to work with a blue–chip client, contributing to the security of the UK and our allies. Responsibilities

  • Oversee engineering delivery, ensuring projects remain on track and within budget
  • Manage full V–lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices
  • Develop and maintain engineering plans, tracking progress and milestones
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, minimising impact on delivery
  • Solve problems proactively as they arise
  • Seek opportunities for project efficiency and improvement
  • Manage projects predominantly sitting in the Hardware domain
  • Strong communication skills to work across boundaries and maintain stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to remain level–headed under pressure, ensuring smooth project execution


Qualifications

  • Degree level qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
  • A lower qualification would be acceptable for example HNC/HND should the candidate be able to demonstrate significant demonstrable experience in lieu


Essential skills

  • Strong understanding of the V–lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects across multiple domains
  • Expertise in tracking project progress, managing risks, and maintaining budgets
  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to problem–solve and proactively seek project improvements


Experience

  • Proven experience in engineering delivery management
  • Post graduate relevant work experience
  • Aerospace experience but candidates with Military or other adjacencies experience may suit this role.
  • Able to work across the full Engineering Development Lifecycle


What do I need before I apply
