Burton and South Derbyshire College seeks a qualified, committed, and enthusiastic individual to join our Engineering team to deliver and lead on full-time programmes.
Applicants should have working knowledge and experience in Engineering and Manufacturing, focusing on technical skills and machining; CNC experience is desirable. You will teach across various Engineering courses aligned with your occupational skills to ensure high-quality provision. The role requires innovative teaching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate learners.
Ideally, applicants will hold a relevant Higher Education qualification in Engineering or related fields and have industrial experience, along with appropriate teaching and assessing qualifications. The College welcomes vocational specialists interested in pursuing a career in further education and offers training to gain recognized teaching qualifications.
Industry professionals transitioning into teaching can apply for a government grant scheme offering up to £6,000 annually while studying teacher training programs.
