Salary: £33,796.00 - £39,553.00 FTE (CC48 - CC65, including Market Premium. Actual pro-rata salary range for part-time hours: £27,402.16 - £32,070.00)

Terms & Conditions: Part Time (30 Hours per week/52 Weeks per year), Teaching Contract

About the Role

Based at our Plymouth Engineering Skills Centre within Sisna Park, we are seeking a candidate from an Engineering background (preferably with an electrical discipline) to deliver Maths and Science to our Level 3 and Level 4 Engineering students.

The Cornwall College Group are the largest education and training provider in the region, with over 15,000 learners each year, 2,000 of whom are studying a university programme with us.

Part of The Cornwall College Group, The Plymouth Engineering Skills Centre was opened in 2014 as a solution to our growing number of learners in and around Plymouth. It now acts as a training hub for apprentices from multiple local and international manufacturing companies, as well as providing daytime and evening courses for school pupils, adults and businesses.

The Centre is fully fitted out for manufacturing, electrical and maintenance training as well as TIG, MIG and arc welding, CAD/CAM and PAT testing.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for individuals who are interested in sharing their knowledge, skills and experience in industry to pass on to our Engineering students, specifically delivering Maths & Science.

Applicants will be qualified to a minimum of level 4 (level 5 is preferable) in an appropriate discipline (Engineering, ideally with maths/science) and hold or be willing to undertake a teaching qualification (provided and funded by us).

Hours of work

This role is initially intended to be on a part-time basis; 30 hours per week.
