A leading company in Luton is offering an Engineering Apprenticeship – Fitter position, where you'll receive hands-on training in engineering and acquire practical skills while studying at Northampton College. The apprenticeship program spans four years, focusing on developing critical skills such as interpreting engineering drawings and using hand tools. As an apprentice to Hayward Tyler, you will be trained to become a skilled Engineering Fitter with training in core areas such as, interpreting drawings/specifications for required components or assemblies, refurbishing/fault finding and problem solving, using various tooling & equipment, quality checking/testing and calibration of units/components.
The Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship is aimed at people who wish to gain real engineering qualifications as well as practical on the job skills. This is achieved through a combination training/tuition and work-based learning activities.
Please note, whilst not confirmed, the training provider for this apprenticeship may be based in Northampton and applicants will need to be able to get to this location on a weekly basis.
