About the Role


We're offering an exciting 3-year Engineering Apprenticeship leading to a Level 3 NVQ in Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants a hands-on career in engineering within a busy manufacturing environment.


This apprenticeship is a mix of on-the-job training and college-based learning (either weekly release or block sessions). In your first 3 to 4 months, you'll work Monday to Friday to familiarise yourself with the site and processes. After this, you'll move onto shift-based work, shadowing and learning directly from experienced engineering mentors.



Apprenticeship Journey




  • Year 1 - Focused on shadowing and learning the basics of the site, equipment, processes, and team.


  • Year 2 - Begin to support engineers with tasks, learning how to identify and prepare tools, and understanding how to approach jobs methodically.


  • Year 3 - Hands-on experience increases. You'll start taking the lead on tasks while being observed by your mentor, who will support you in growing your independence and problem-solving skills.



About You


We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in engineering and the drive to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You should be naturally inquisitive, health & safety aware, and willing to learn from others.


You'll succeed in this role if you:

  • Are methodical and eager to ask questions

  • Are self-motivated

  • Have a strong focus on safety and teamwork
