Job summary

Columbus McKinnon in Coleshill, England, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead engineered crane orders from handover to closeout, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, installation and service teams.

You will manage schedules, budgets and risk, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, communicate with customers and stakeholders, and drive margin improvements across the project lifecycle. Strong English communication and PRINCE2 familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• 3 yrs+ experience working on engineered to order / equipment projects.
• Strong knowledge of crane engineering, standards and regulations.
• PRINCE2 or other project management qualification.
• NEBOSH/IOSH safety qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineered orders from handover to final acceptance and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Ensure delivery safe, on time, and within budget per specs.
• Serve as primary customer contact during project execution.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (engineering, sales).
• Monitor costs, revenues, cash flow, and margins.
• Negotiate variations, change orders and claims.
• Provide accurate forecasting and KPI reporting.
• Support tender stage with technical RFQ reviews.
