Are you ready to embark on a journey of a lifetime? MAF UK is thrilled to announce it has now opened applications for the 2025 intake of our sponsored aircraft engineering training scheme. This incredible opportunity is designed for aspiring aircraft maintenance engineers to join MAF and make a meaningful impact overseas.

What's in it for You?

Important Note: This scheme is only available to individuals with full rights to live and work in the UK without any restrictions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Engage in academic studies, attending all classroom theory modules.
  2. Participate in practical training, carrying out basic aircraft maintenance tasks.
  3. Develop partnerships by raising prayer, pastoral, and financial support.
Education/Qualifications Required:
  1. A-levels including Physics and Mathematics (grade B or above).
  2. 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics (grade C or above).
Experience Required:

Leadership experience in Church, school, or another sphere.

Skills/Abilities Required:
  1. Clear, assertive, and diplomatic communication skills.
  2. Ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
  3. Good attention to detail and adherence to rules and instructions.
Personal Attributes:
  1. Committed evangelical Christian, aligned with our Statement of Faith.
  2. Emotional resourcefulness and flexibility towards others and circumstances.
  3. Service-oriented, resilient, and possess an enquiring mind.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Ideal Candidates will:

  1. Have completed A-levels in mathematics and physics with a grade B or above.
  2. Possess a vibrant Christian faith and the support of a local church community.
  3. Demonstrate maturity, resilience, and a keen interest in aircraft engineering.
  4. Be able to pass an occupational medical examination.

Important Note: This scheme is exclusively available to individuals with full rights to live and work in the UK without any restrictions. The Engineering Trainee will undergo specialised training to obtain an EASA B1 or B2 aeronautical engineering license. Practical training will be provided through partner organisations before returning for overseas service with MAF.

Closing date: 31 July 2025

Selection: The selection process will commence in January 2026. The process will include interviews, technical evaluations, and the completion of medical and psychological assessments.
