Highways Magazine in Calderdale is seeking experienced highway engineers to join our Strategic Infrastructure Service. You will drive design and delivery of highway safety improvements, sustainable transport, and public realm schemes to benefit residents, businesses and visitors.
Based in a small Traffic Engineering Team, you will prepare feasibility studies and design solutions, progress TROs, and provide technical advice to elected Members and the public, while mentoring staff.

We're seeking Engineers to join a small design team within our Strategic Infrastructure Service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering highway safety improvements, sustainable transport initiatives, and public realm enhancements supporting Calderdale's residents, businesses and visitors.
Working at the heart of our Traffic Engineering Team, you'll help shape the future of the highway network by driving the design and delivery of schemes that improve road safety, support economic growth, and contribute to wider transport and environmental objectives.

As part of the team, you'll contribute to the delivery of projects funded through the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) programme (and its replacement), as well as a growing portfolio of highway and infrastructure projects.
We are looking for people to join either team.
You will be delivering traffic engineering schemes and contributing to improvements in highway safety. Work would include preparing feasibility studies and design solutions, developing and progressing TROs and responding to queries from elected Members and the public, and acting as a focal point for technical advice.
