Calderdale Council in Halifax is seeking an Engineer (Traffic Engineering) to join our Strategic Infrastructure Service. You will help deliver highway safety improvements, sustainable transport initiatives and public realm enhancements across Calderdale.

Working in the Traffic Engineering Team, you will drive the design and delivery of schemes that improve road safety, support economic growth and contribute to wider transport objectives.

About the Team

The Traffic Engineering Team is responsible for developing and delivering highway safety and traffic management solutions across Calderdale. Our work ranges from highway improvement and sustainable transport projects to public realm schemes and developer-funded highway works.

As part of the team, you'll contribute to the delivery of projects funded through the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) programme (and its replacement), as well as a growing portfolio of highway and infrastructure projects.

The Traffic Engineering Team comprises of two sections, and we are looking for people to join either team:
