About the Role:
Lloyds British, part of the Speedy Group, is seeking a skilled and experienced Surveyor Engineer (Pressure and LEV Inspection) to join our team based in Southampton. This is a critical role focused on the inspection, fault-finding, and compliance assurance of various pressure systems and mechanical equipment under statutory regulations.
You will carry out inspections in line with PSSR and LOLER standards, including MEWP and telehandler inspections, ensuring all equipment is safe and fit for service. Strong mechanical knowledge and a customer-focused mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of pressure systems and LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) equipment.
Carry out MEWP and telehandler LOLER inspections.
Diagnose faults, identify defects, and complete necessary repairs to restore equipment to a safe working condition.
Compile clear, accurate inspection reports.
Operate within inspection authority and health & safety standards.
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
What We're Looking For:
ASME Level 1 and PSSR certification / P601 qualification (preferred)
Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
Proven experience with pressure vessels and lifting equipment
Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform corrective actions
Professional report writing and clear communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and customer-facing experience
