Progress your engineering career as an Engineer Surveyor within Allianz Engineering Inspection Services. You will visit client sites to inspect and assess plant, equipment, and installations. Newly recruited Surveyors will join our comprehensive induction training program. This role is ideal for experienced engineers familiar with Lift and Crane disciplines, working for one of the world's largest insurers and financial services companies.

  • Assist clients in complying with relevant legislation and anticipate their needs.
  • Collaborate with your Engineer Surveyor team led by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
  • Prepare inspection reports using electronic reporting tools for efficient delivery.
  • Conduct hands-on inspections of lifts, cranes, material handling equipment, and construction plant.
  • This physically demanding role may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions, with exposure to noise and dust.

Salary Information: Starting from £44,213 per year. Salary is part of a comprehensive reward package.

About You

As an Engineer Surveyor, you will:

  • Stay updated on compliance and regulatory rules related to Lift and Crane disciplines.
  • Make informed decisions and take responsibility.
  • Plan effectively for meetings, visits, and work allocation.
  • Travel within your designated area efficiently.
  • Handle documentation and administrative tasks promptly.
  • Support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as needed.
  • Be passionate about engineering, self-motivated, and capable of engaging with clients daily.
  • Have experience with lifts, cranes, or materials handling equipment in manufacturing, repair, or maintenance roles.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Essential Skills
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in a Mechanical-related subject.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Comfortable using tablets and smartphones for work.
Desirable Skills
  • Incorporated Engineer (desirable).
