Job summary

Munich Re Group’s HSB division in the UK is seeking an Engineer Surveyor (Cat 2) to perform statutory and contractual inspections of mechanical equipment across diverse client sites in Hertfordshire. You’ll travel to locations around Hatfield, Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage and nearby towns, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You’ll work independently within a professional team, prioritising accuracy and timeliness while developing professionally through training and career progression

Qualifications

• HNC or Level 4 qualification required.
• Minimum 3 years direct, relevant experience.
• Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, COSHH and British Standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statutory and contractual inspections across mechanical equipment.
• Inspect sites from football grounds to zoos and ensure safety and compliance.

Job title: Engineer Surveyor - Cat 2

Location: Hertfordshire; Searching for individuals located within or near Hatfield, Hemel, Hempstead, Hertford, Luton, Stevenage, St Albans

Total reward package: Starting from £60,776.00 per annum

Salary: £44,750 per annum

Working hours: 40 hours per week (inclusive of travel time), additional hours worked paid as overtime

What You'll Be Doing

As an Engineer Surveyor you will carry out statutory and contractual inspections across a range of mechanical equipment. This is a varied role where no 2 days are the same, from completing inspections at a football ground, to ensuring equipment is safe and compliant at a zoo. You'll play a key role in helping our clients stay compliant, safe, and operational, all while working within a supportive, expert-led environment.

What You'll Need

• Must have HNC or relevant level 4 qualification and 3 years minimum direct and relevant experience.
• Knowledge/understanding of statutory regulations, such as, LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, and British Standards.
• Holder of UK Driving licence, no more than 6 points
