Job summary

HSB in Bournemouth is seeking an Engineer Surveyor to carry out statutory and contractual inspections across a range of mechanical equipment. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, from inspecting at a football ground to ensuring equipment is safe and compliant at a zoo.

You’ll play a key role in helping clients stay compliant, safe, and operational, all while working in a supportive, expert-led environment.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience in general engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations (LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, COSHH) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out statutory and contractual inspections across mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect at varied sites from football grounds to zoos to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Help clients stay compliant, safe and operational in a supportive, expert-led environment.

Total reward package: £53,376.00 per annum

Salary: £38,500 per annum

Working hours: 40 hours per week (inclusive of travel time), additional hours worked paid as overtime

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Engineer Surveyor you will carry out statutory and contractual inspections across a range of mechanical equipment. This is a varied role where no 2 days are the same, from completing inspections at a football ground, to ensuring equipment is safe and compliant at a zoo. You’ll play a key role in helping our clients stay compliant, safe, and operational, all while working within a supportive, expert-led environment.

What You’ll Need

  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in general engineering environments
  • Minimum Level NVQ 3, or equivalent award, in an engineering discipline
  • Knowledge/understanding of statutory regulations, such as, LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, and British Standards
  • Holder of UK Driving licence, no more than 6 points
