Job summary

Eadon Consulting Limited based in Sheffield is seeking an Engineer to join our team to tackle complex projects across bridges, nuclear, water, clean energy and specialist mechanical equipment. You will work with engineers and designers to check designs using engineering fundamentals, while producing 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks.

Based at our Sheffield office, we are currently looking for an Engineer to join our talented team to work on complex and interesting projects.

What you’ll do

You will be working alongsideotherengineers and designers as an integral part of the teamsolving a wide variety of engineering problems. Typical tasks could include:

• Using engineering fundamentals and your mathematical ability to check that designs work;
• Producing 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings usingSolidworksto enable the design to be made.

Our projects come in a variety of shapes and sizes, giving our team the opportunity to rapidly gain broad experience and skills.

What you’ll need

An ideal candidate would:

• Have enthusiasm for solving engineering problems, and the drive to learn and take ownership of your own development;
• Solid technical grasp of first principles engineering mechanics;
• Previousexperience in a similar role,notethis role is not suitable for a recent graduate;
• Have an engineering degree or equivalent qualification;
• Have the ability towork and communicate effectively with other people;
• The ability to self-organiseandprioritiseyour workload;
• Experience of carrying out engineering calculations.
