Job description

Engineer Resource Controller / Field Engineer Coordinator

Duration: 6 months

Location: Sheffield / Hybrid (3 days on site)

Rate: £ - £ per day, umbrella (in scope)

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Optimising work allocation and distribution for provision and repair tasks to a multiskilled workforce using allocation systems.
  • Managing escalations and expedites in a professional manner via written and verbal communication.
  • Working closely with Area Engineering and Control Managers.
  • Collaborating with field engineers to ensure optimal customer service.
  • Monitoring field allocation systems for effective deployment of resources.
  • Managing customer escalations and expedites, including utilizing third-party resources.
  • Handling incidents in conjunction with relevant departments to meet SLA targets.
  • Deploying field resources efficiently to maximise utilisation.
  • Working collaboratively to ensure resource availability within lead times.
  • Coordinating with the Central Resourcing Coordinator.
  • Managing Switch & Power Routines activities.
  • Continuously seeking improvements in processes and workflows.
  • Managing task enablement for provision and repair to meet appointment dates and SLAs.
