Join us as a Nuclear Safety Engineer and play a vital role in assessing risks for our nuclear clients to help realize our low carbon energy ambitions, shaping a better future for our planet and its people.

Your purpose:

In this role, you might produce hazard assessments or author complex safety cases, justifying critical decision-making in the design, operation, or decommissioning of nuclear facilities. You may also influence the client’s strategic direction to support obtaining a nuclear site licence, network to develop the business pipeline, or deliver technical presentations to regulators.

This role offers opportunities to work with diverse clients from defence, nuclear generation, and new build sectors, including fusion and SMR markets. You will support project delivery, address complex problems, and present solutions to stakeholders. You will strive for excellent technical work, paying attention to detail while considering the bigger picture.

You will also contribute to and learn from the wider technical community within AtkinsRéalis, leveraging global expertise. Additionally, you will develop and mentor junior engineers, enhancing our project delivery capabilities and your leadership skills.
