Job Description

Job Title: Ultrasound Technician / Field Service Engineer

The Company

Our client is the UK's leading independent expert specialising in the repair and servicing of electronic medical equipment and instrumentation, specifically ultrasounds. They have earned a reputation for quality service by investing in cutting-edge technology and maintaining a well-trained, motivated workforce.

The Role

Due to internal promotion, they now require an Ultrasound Technician to perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) of ultrasound machines on client premises and handle simple probe repairs in the workshop. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Carrying out preventative maintenance at client sites across the UK, primarily hospitals. Expected to be out approximately 3 days a week, returning home at night.
  2. Providing advice and support to customers.
  3. Delivering and collecting loan equipment from customers.
  4. Maintaining and developing relationships with customers.
  5. Performing probe repairs in the workshop.

The Candidate

We are looking for a strong team player with a desire to learn and develop a career in this field. You should demonstrate:

  • Experience visiting customer sites, ideally hospitals.
  • A technical background or aptitude.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • Pride in your work.
  • Excellent communication skills, as this is a customer-facing role.
  • A high level of dexterity.
  • A valid driving license.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: Depending on experience, with a 10% performance-related bonus.

Package includes: 4% pension contribution, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance (4x salary), health cash plan, and more.

Northamptonshire. The role is commutable from: Corby, Kettering, Market Harborough, Wellingborough, Stamford, Uppingham, Oakham, Rothwell, Desborough, Kibworth, Beauchamp.
