Salary: $37,800-$63,000

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking an Engineer to join our team! This position will be responsible for working in a team environment, geared toward the development, prototyping, manufacturing, testing and mass production of small caliber munitions.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the Small Caliber Munitions Division. Duties include:

  1. Provide experience with engineering support for the development and manufacturing of Small Caliber Munitions
  2. Support all aspects of design, prototype, testing and manufacturing
  3. Prepare designs using 3D CAD (Creo) modeling software
  4. Document designs using the Army's design standards and GD&T
  5. Write test plans and work closely with testing groups
  6. Develop and present reports
  7. Work with manufacturing teams to develop functional prototypes, develop pilot manufacturing processes, and/or develop production level manufacturing processes
  8. Be able to support mature designs currently in production
  9. This position requires travel up to 25%

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

  1. Must be able to obtain a clearance through the DoD security background investigation process
  2. Pass drug and alcohol testing
  3. Must have good mechanical skills and experience
  4. Knowledge of manufacturing principles and processes
  5. Experience with engineering software, including Creo CAD
  6. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  7. High standard of quality and efficiency
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  9. Knowledge of weapons and firearms a plus
  10. Must be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly
  11. Fluent in (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  12. Must be a US citizen
  13. Must have a valid NJ driver's license and be able to obtain a government driver's license
  14. Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  15. Past or present military personnel are encouraged to apply
  16. 0-5 years of experience with mechanical engineering or similar discipline
