Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Woodhill, a Category A, Male prison. Join a team that works Monday to Friday/Sunday, committed to creating a safe environment. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, and more, all dedicated to making a positive difference.

The role involves:

• Two years’ experience as a plumber or equivalent
• Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
• Experience with commercial or industrial heating and water systems
• Understanding of health and safety requirements
• Qualifications: C&G 6035, C&G 6189, NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
• Good health and safety knowledge
• Organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
