Job Role: Mechanical Engineer
Location: HMP Swaleside
Salary: £38,333.37 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (39 hours)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Swaleside, a CATEGORY B male prison. Join a supportive and driven team working Monday to Friday to create a safe environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and operate water supply, heating, and water systems in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various trades to ensure facility safety and functionality.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years' experience as a plumber or similar role.
  • Qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
