Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance Plumber) to join our team at HMP Springhill, a category D male prison. The role involves maintaining water and heating systems, working in compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Legionella control standards. The position offers a salary of £41,000 plus a 5% increase for shift and weekend work, on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience as a plumber or similar, be familiar with health and safety regulations, and hold relevant qualifications such as C&G 6035, C&G 6189, or NVQ level 3 in Plumbing. You will work alongside experienced colleagues across various trades to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
