We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Pentonville, a category B male prison. The Facilities Maintenance Team ensures the smooth and safe operation of the prison, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, families, and the community.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all committed to making a positive difference. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with:

• Two years’ experience as a plumber or equivalent
• Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
• Experience with commercial or industrial heating and water systems
• Understanding of health and safety requirements
• Qualification: C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
