Location: HMP Pentonville (N7)

Salary: £36,595

Contract: Full Time - Perm

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Pentonville, a category B male prison. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, and others, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment. We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS, looking for a Mechanical Engineer with:

1. Two years’ experience as a plumber or equivalent
2. Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
3. Experience with commercial or industrial heating and water systems
4. Good understanding of health and safety requirements
5. Plumber qualified to C&G 6035, C&G 6189, and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
6. Strong Health & Safety knowledge
7. Excellent organizational, time management, and people skills
