Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance Plumber) to join our team at HMP Feltham, a category C prison and Young Offender Institution. The role offers a salary of £41,818.21 per annum plus 5% for shift work covering weekends. The position is permanent, with a 39-hour workweek, Monday to Sunday.

As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will contribute to the safe and smooth operation of the facility, working alongside experienced colleagues such as Plumbers, Electricians, and Carpenters. Your responsibilities will include working on water supply regulation, Legionella control, and industrial heating and water systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications required include:

  • Qualification to C&G 6035, C&G 6189, and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
