Job Role: Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance Plumber)
Location: HMP Feltham (TW13)
Salary: £41,818.21 per annum + 5% for shift work covering weekends
Contract: Permanent, 39 hours per week, Monday to Sunday

About HMP Feltham

HMP Feltham is a category C prison and a YOI holding young people from 15 and men up to the age of 30 years old. Join a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Team that ensures the smooth and safe operation of the prison, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

Work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all committed to providing a safe and secure environment.

Candidate Requirements
  • At least two years' experience as a plumber or similar role
  • Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
  • Experience with commercial or industrial heating and water systems
  • Qualified to C&G 6035, C&G 6189, NVQ level 3 in Plumbing, or equivalent
  • Good health and safety knowledge
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
