Job Role: Mechanical Engineer
Location: HMP Bullingdon OX25
Salary: £41,818.21 per annum
Contract: Permanent, 39 hours per week

We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Plumber to join our team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B male prison, as a Mechanical Engineer.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS, seeking a Mechanical Engineer with:

  1. Two years' experience as a plumber or equivalent
  2. Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
  3. Experience with commercial or industrial heating and water systems
  4. Understanding of health and safety requirements
  5. Plumber qualification to C&G 6035, C&G 6189, NVQ level 3 in Plumbing, or equivalent
  6. Good health & safety knowledge
  7. Strong organizational, time management, and people skills
