IPL - Part of the Asda Family, at Kober Cleckheaton, seeks a Maintenance Engineer for a 4 on 4 off schedule (days/nights). The site-based role involves reactive and preventative maintenance to minimise line downtime and to uphold high engineering standards in a fast-paced food environment.

Applicants should have a minimum HND in Mechanical Engineering; an electrical qualification is a plus. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for continuous improvement and safety leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum of level 4 HND in Mechanical Engineering.
• Electrical engineering qualification is an added advantage.
• Experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Engineer to become a vital part of our Engineering Team at our bacon slicing and packing facility in Cleckheaton. If you are passionate about Engineering and are eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you! Position Details:

• Schedule: 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights), 6am - 6pm & 6pm - 6am Location: Kober, Cleckheaton - Site Based Role Contract Type: Permanent
• Completion of reactive maintenance work when machinery breaks down to ensure impact to line efficiencies is minimised.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to schedule.
• Ensure high standards or engineering workmanship across site.
• Team working on site development projects.
• Contribute to the development of existing and new standards for key items of equipment and facilities.
• Lead high standards of safety practices across the business.
• Complete routine tasks without being prompted, including any other duties relating to your role.
• Participate in Engineering focused activities
• Contribute towards continuous improvement projects.
• Support site technical issue resolution and completion of improvement actions through good engineering practices and guidance.
• Identify and share best practice and contribute towards raising awareness, improving performance and transitioning to a pro-active engineering culture
