A popular entertainment venue in Bristol seeks a Maintenance Technician to handle preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in maintenance and be skilled in plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems. Overview

The incumbent in this position will perform preventive and predictive maintenance and which may include HVAC-R, electronic systems, electrical, air, water and/or equipment. The incumbent is under the direction of the Supervisor; the incumbent also responds to all General Maintenance service calls.

Commercial HVAC Repair Experience - EPA License

Responsibilities

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

  1. Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Bristol their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
  2. Responsible for overall maintenance, upkeep and repairs of facility.
  3. Maintains cleanliness of all engineering spaces.
  4. Conducts required drills and inspections.
  5. Responds to maintenance service calls in a timely manner.
  6. Repairs, replaces and performs preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical and kitchen equipment.
  7. Perform skilled maintenance repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry equipment and systems.
  8. Adjust temperature settings on a Building Automation System.
  9. Understanding of Emergency Generators and their operations. Ability to perform functions required during power switching. Monitors Emergency Generators and associated equipment.
  10. Performs event setups and teardowns in a safe, timely manner.
  11. Installs and makes repairs to doors, furniture, office partitions, flooring and other related items.
  12. Preps and prepares drywall for painting. Paints and stains wall, furniture and other associated items.
  13. Creates service request for purposes of documenting work performed. Completes all work orders assigned in a timely manner.
  14. Documents all work on a daily basis.
  15. Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
  16. Performs all other duties as assigned and adheres to all Virginia Lottery Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through A High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of maintenance job experience performing general maintenance duties (plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other general facility repairs) or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Must also have a working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair and service and the ability to troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of .
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Drivers of company vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements/standards listed on the Motor Vehicle Permit Application provided by Hard Rock.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
  • Machines and equipment including but not limited to; basic hand and power tools, spray equipment, etc.
  • Safe use of hazardous materials.
  • Must know how to operate an aerial lift.
  • Certified in three trades and/or 6+ years of experience.
