Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The incumbent in this position will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, which may include HVAC-R, electronic systems, electrical, air, water, and/or equipment. The incumbent is under the direction of the Supervisor and responds to all General Maintenance service calls.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Create an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Bristol for gaming entertainment; actively build and retain guest relations, and mentor team members to provide superior guest service.
  2. Responsible for overall maintenance, upkeep, and repairs of the facility.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of all engineering spaces.
  4. Conduct required drills and inspections.
  5. Respond promptly to maintenance service calls.
  6. Perform repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and kitchen equipment.
  7. Perform skilled maintenance repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
  8. Adjust temperature settings on the Building Automation System.
  9. Understand Emergency Generators and their operations. Perform functions during power switching and monitor associated equipment.
  10. Perform event setups and teardowns safely and efficiently.
  11. Install and repair doors, furniture, office partitions, flooring, and related items.
  12. Prepare drywall for painting; paint and stain walls, furniture, and other items.
  13. Create service requests to document work performed; complete all work orders promptly.
  14. Document all work daily and maintain technical logs and records as appropriate.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to Virginia Lottery Regulations and Departmental SOPs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis)

Typically requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 6 years of maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a working knowledge of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
  • Pass background check and drug screening.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Availability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours.
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with Motor Vehicle Permit standards for drivers of company vehicles.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Machines and equipment, including hand and power tools, spray equipment, etc.
  • Safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Operation of aerial lifts.
  • Certification in three trades and/or 6+ years of experience.
