Job description

As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes, and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission has been to stop breaches, redefining modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. Our customers span all industries, relying on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, communities safe, and lives moving forward. We cultivate a culture that offers flexibility and autonomy, empowering our team members to own their careers. We are seeking talented individuals with passion, innovation, and a commitment to our community and customers. Join us in a mission that matters—the future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

We are developing the next-generation UI for CrowdStrike's platform, called Kestrel. This includes new UI and backend features to help customers 'Stop the Breach' by unifying data across security domains, streamlining access to critical security information, and enabling personalized user experiences by role. You will play a key role in innovating, building, and maintaining essential backend features for the Kestrel platform.

Additionally, we maintain existing services written in Node.js that manage dynamic content and localization within our console, bridging our Cloud (Go Lang) services with front-end UI applications.

Bring your experience with distributed technologies, strong API and systems design skills, and a passion for high-performance code. You will collaborate with multiple backend teams, core service teams, and UI + backend feature teams to bring these features to life.

If this challenge aligns with your experience and skills, submit your resume for a conversation.

This position is open for UK and European remote roles.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale services.
  • Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.
  • Triage system issues and debug by analyzing sources of issues and their impact on service operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve architecture, testing coverage, user experience, performance, observability, and stability.
  • Partner with product teams to understand needs, document requirements, and implement new features.

What You’ll Use:

  • NodeJS
  • TypeScript
  • Go (Golang)

What You’ll Need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in data structures, algorithms, or distributed systems.
  • Experience in scaling backend systems, including sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling.
  • A passion for shipping code and seeing it run in production.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
  • Team collaboration skills and adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative environment.
  • Consistent delivery of high-quality, well-tested software.

  • Experience with Go, AWS, and Jenkins.
  • Experience working on security products.

Benefits of Working at CrowdStrike:
