CrowdStrike is hiring an Engineer II to the TechOps SRE team focused on our Commercial Cloud. You will be a deeply technical, hands-on engineer, who loves to develop automation and tooling through software to ensure delivery of mission critical solutions and services for large-scale distributed systems.

You will own operational aspects including availability, latency, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning; collaborate with global engineers; participate in on-call rotation;

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a large-scale production environment.
• Minimum 2 years in software engineering.
• 2+ years in one or more: C++, Java, Python, Go.
• Experience with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, NFS, Object Storage, etc.).
• Experience with Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Configuration management with Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
• Strong analytical skills and sense of urgency, ownership, and drive.

• Lead operational aspects of the platform: Availability, Latency, Throughput, Monitoring, Incident Response, capacity planning.
• Work with a distributed team of engineers on-rotation for on-call duties.
• Troubleshoot server hardware issues and ensure 24x7 platform reliability.

• Become an expert across architecture and process flows; drive reliability improvements.
• Lead incident analysis and drive toward resolution and systemic fixes.

We’re looking for a deeply-technical, hands-on engineer, who loves to develop automation and tooling through software to ensure delivery of mission critical solutions and services for large-scale distributed systems.What You'll Do:Have expertise with Linux engineering and administration for thousands of bare metal servers and virtual machinesBe responsible for all operational aspects of our platform - Availability, Latency, Throughput, Monitoring, Issue Response (analysis, remediation, deployment) and Capacity Planning with respect to Latency and ThroughputWork in a team of highly motivated engineers distributed across the globeOn-call rotation with other team membersTroubleshoot server hardware issuesUse your passion for technology to ensure our platform operates flawlessly 24x7Obsess about learning, and champion the newest technologies & tricks with others, raising the technical IQ of the team.
