Job summary

The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd invites applications for an Engineer II (Computer Hardware). The role focuses on designing, installing, commissioning and maintaining electronic engineering systems and computer hardware including EMS/DMS RTUs, IoT devices, Access Control and Video Surveillance systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience in operations and maintenance of engineering system hardware, preferably in large-scale engineering control systems.
• Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written.
• Holder of a valid driving license for Class 1 vehicles will be an advantage.

Reporting to the Chief Technical Services Engineer (Computer Hardware), the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities:

To assist in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electronic engineering systems and computer hardware equipment including EMS/DMS Remote Terminal Units, IoT devices, Access Control System and Video Surveillance System

To provide technical support for the equipment testing and fault analysis

To supervise a small team of technicians and manage contractors

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related disciplines

A minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience in operations and maintenance of engineering system hardware, preferably in large-scale engineering control systems

Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written

Holder of a valid driving license for Class 1 vehicles will be an advantage

Working Location: Ap Lei Chau, transportation will be provided

Candidates with more relevant experience may be considered for the position of Engineer I.
