Job summary

Une entreprise automobile de renom recrute un ingénieur en services de conception. Le rôle inclut le développement de l'unité de propulsion électrique (EDU) et la gestion des conceptions en utilisant des outils de modélisation 3D, principalement CATIA V6. Les candidats doivent posséder une formation en ingénierie et une expérience pertinente dans l'industrie automobile.

Qualifications

• Expérience de l'utilisation d'outils de modélisation 3D, de préférence CATIA V6.
• Connaissances en GD&T et en gestion de projet.
• Formation en ingénierie ou expérience équivalente.

Responsibilities

• Conception de propositions pour le développement de l'EDU.
• Gestion des assemblages 3D et création de dessins.
• Identification des opportunités d'optimisation de conception.

About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of an Automotive OEM, based in Whitley, who are seeking a Design Services - Engineer to join their team

Duties:

• Design proposals for EDU (electric drive unit) development
• Package assessments on concept proposals
• Concept development to ensure credibility of proposal.
• Investigation of potential incremental improvements for consideration in future developments or upgrades.
• On-cycle issue resolution
• Supporting cross functional teams to generate potential design solutions to be considered by the D&R and integration squads.
• Helping to Identify design optimisation opportunities for implementation at later design freezes.
• Assembly management and drawing creation.
• Management of 3D assemblies
• Creation of detailed component and assembly drawings for manufacture
• Standards, processes and tool development
• Full utilisation of current Client toolset.
• Help to identify standards, processes and tools to develop.
• Ensure alignment with the Clients' standards and best practises.
• Highlighting potential weaknesses and opportunities

Skills:

• Experience of 3D modelling tools and techniques, preferably in CATIA V6
• Working knowledge of GD&T and general drafting
• Experience in project management and issue resolution.
• Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments.
• Previous experience of the automotive or manufacturing industry
• Experience of Agile project delivery
• Detailed knowledge of EDU design
• Experience of Agile project delivery

Education:

• Degree in engineering or similar
