Qualifications

An exciting opportunity exists for a multiskilled Engineer to act as the engineering technical lead in the implementation of capital projects, improvement projects, and engineering regulatory compliance for our state-of-the-art brewery in Blandford.

Key responsibilities:

  • Role Model Health & Safety
  • Coordinate the engineering aspects of capital and improvement projects to ensure successful delivery on time, in full, and within budget without impacting product quality or efficiency
  • Serve as SME & direct report for WPP & recycling centre
  • Manage site maintenance activities & budgetary responsibilities
  • Ensure completion of calibration plans and regulatory compliance activities as scheduled
  • Implement innovative problem-solving and improvement activities to ensure business continuity
  • Provide administrative support for the Engineering Team
  • Deputise for the Site Engineering Manager as required
  • Update drawings and supporting documents; write/review permits, SOPs, RA, ECRs with Engineering Manager

Key knowledge and attributes:

  • At least 5 years of engineering experience in FMCG or similar environment
  • WAMITAB and NEBOSH qualifications (training will be provided)
  • Highly organized, self-directed, with the ability to prioritize, project manage, and schedule engineering works
  • Qualified engineer with working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, compressed air, cooling, mechanical, and water systems
  • Experience with bench work such as welding and fabrication
  • Ability to influence colleagues and suppliers for successful project outcomes
  • Knowledge of engineering regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., PSSR, LOLA)
  • Comfortable chairing meetings and presenting technical information
  • Strong IT skills, including MS applications, CAD, ERP, data analysis, and reporting
  • Collaborative mindset
