Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is seeking an experienced engineer for an onshore Liverpool role within marine and engineering sectors. The position offers a clear path for career progression and is supported by Stafforce Ports across the UK and Ireland.

We welcome candidates with at least 3 years of experience in marine, mechanical, electrical, welding, industrial or heavy engineering and a recognised engineering degree is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marine, mechanical, electrical, welding, industrial or heavy engineering environments.
  • Engineering qualification degree level is desirable.
  • Strong experience in engineering support.
  • Technical problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication with stakeholders.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and technical support to operational activities.
  • Assist with maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Coordinate repairs and monitor asset performance.
  • Liaise with vessel crews, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate technical records and documentation.
  • Support compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with fault finding and troubleshooting activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
  • Support the optimisation of shoreside engineering systems and documentation.

an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineer to join our client operating within the marine and engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering and technical support to operational activities.
  • Assist with maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Coordinate repairs and support asset performance monitoring.
  • Liaise with vessel crews, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to resolve engineering issues.
  • Maintain accurate technical records and documentation.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience within marine, mechanical, electrical, welding, industrial or heavy engineering environments.
  • A recognised engineering qualification degree level is desirable.
  • Strong experience in engineering support
  • Technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience using maintenance management systems would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards, safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

  • Oncall Rota Only 1 in 4
  • Salary £32,500 - £35,000 basic plus additional £8050 for oncall paid (even if you dont get called out)
