SSE plc in the UK is seeking an Engineer to support the development and delivery of LV, HV and EHV electrical network designs across new-build and existing infrastructure projects.
You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, DNOs and external partners to deliver designs from feasibility through construction to network adoption, supporting the UK’s transition to net zero.
Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations Reading, Cardiff, Glasgow or Perth
Salary: £44,000 - £65,900 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As an Engineer within the Engineering function, you will support the development and delivery of electrical distribution network designs across new-build and existing infrastructure projects.
You will assist in the production, coordination and technical delivery of LV, HV and EHV (including 132kV) electrical network designs in compliance with relevant legislation, NERS requirements, ENA G81 standards, DNO/IDNO specifications and SSE engineering governance requirements.
You will work closely with internal engineering teams, delivery teams, clients, DNOs, IDNOs and external design partners to support the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of projects from early-stage feasibility through to construction and final network adoption.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical capability within the growing Energy Customer Solutions and ICP market while contributing to innovative engineering solutions supporting the UK’s transition to net zero.
