About the role

You will be an expert in plumbing and heating, with skills in other trades, working as part of a team to maintain hospital facilities. The role is primarily based at Springfield Hospital, with support duties at Oaks Hospital in Colchester and emergency assistance at Eastern Sterile Services Centre in Braintree.

The position involves participating in an on-call rota (1 week in 5), with an additional pay enhancement for on-call duties.

What you will bring

• City & Guilds Qualifications or equivalent (e.g., Plumbing – C&G 6035, Craft, C&G 6189, Water Regulations, Unvented Systems)
• Full driver’s license and access to a car
• Previous hospital facilities experience (desirable)
• A logical and practical approach, prioritizing patient and staff safety
