Job description

JMC Aviation is working with a Maintenance Repair Organisation based in Stansted, looking to recruit a new Engine Mechanic to join their team.

This client is a leading MRO providing the global aviation industry with quick, efficient and competitively priced engine management services in accordance with up-to-date EASA and FAA quality standards. Their expert technical capabilities with a uniquely people-centric approach help to deliver entirely bespoke MRO and quick response solutions.

This is a Permanent Position based in Stansted.

5/4 on/off shift pattern, working 07:00 to 19:00.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to be part of the team for all maintenance and repair activities in the workshop while liaising with the Team Leaders and Workshop Manager to meet daily work demands.

Other duties involve

  • Working on various maintenance and repair workscopes as part of the day-to-day operation in a busy workshop
  • Working on effectively turning around engine shop inputs while meeting company objectives
  • Meeting and maintaining the standards set by the business and the regulatory authorities
  • Ensuring all work is carried out IAW the relevant manuals
  • Maintaining the expected quality standards
  • Adhering to the Company's Health and Safety and Security Policies at all times
  • Complying with Human Factors at all times

In order to be successful in this role, the Engine Mechanic will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Time served aerospace industry apprentice with multiple years' experience post apprenticeship
  • Previous experience of working in a busy engine shop environment
  • Knowledge of engine shop manuals and associated manuals including relevant ATA chapters
  • Awareness of Part 145 and FAA regulations
  • A previously held company approval on at least one of the following engine types: CFM56, LEAP, V2500, RB211, CF6, CF34, PW4000, PW1000G or Trent700
  • Must be able to follow Technical Instructions from ESM, CMM, SRM, IPC etc.
  • Right to live and work in the UK
