About The Programme

Our graduate programme is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the electrical engineering landscape at ENGIE. Based in Dinorwig, you will contribute to the delivery of electrical engineering requirements to secure National Grid commercial products and contracts. You will act as the fault-finding electrical engineer to support the existing assets operation and provide electrical engineering information to assist in the transition of First Hydro Company through the replanting of Dinorwig power station.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical models to confirm grid compliance.
  • Conduct performance modelling and testing under operational circumstances.
  • Interpret grid tender documentation requirements into an actionable project plan.
  • Coordinate delivery of the tender delivery plan with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
  • Extract information from plant data, documentation, and resources to validate model assumptions.
  • Develop test programmes for unit performance.
  • Extract technical information from a range of sources and subject matter experts.
  • Ensure compliance with grid code and First Hydro Company interface/comply with the grid code

Key Requirements

Essential

  • Experience in an engineering or production environment
  • Ability to develop test programmes for unit performance.
  • Ability to extract technical information from a range of sources and subject matter experts.
  • Electrical Engineering Degree

Desirable

  • Project Management.
