Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an engaging sessional tutor to deliver the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. You will plan and deliver inclusive teaching, support learners to gain knowledge and confidence, and assess progress with constructive feedback.

The role is casual and sessional, with flexible working options including part-time and hybrid arrangements. An enhanced DBS is required, and collaboration with Workforce Skills and Employment is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised teaching or training qualification at Level 3 or above, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Have relevant teaching, training or learning and development experience, ideally working with adult learners.
• Have experience planning and delivering engaging, inclusive learning sessions that meet a range of learner needs.
• Have experience of assessing learners' work and providing constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment practice, including the requirements and responsibilities of teachers and trainers.
• Have strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate, encourage and build confidence in learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality teaching for learners undertaking the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
• Assess learners' work in line with qualification requirements and provide constructive feedback to support progression.
• Maintain accurate records and monitoring of learner progress throughout the programme.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages participation and high standards of teaching and learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Workforce Skills and Employment curriculum area to support programme delivery and quality assurance.
• Support flexible delivery as a casual sessional role and adapt to programme delivery requirements.
