Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a friendly primary school in Bamber Bridge to start in November 2026.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:50am to 3:20pm, supporting teaching and learning across the classroom and helping keep pupils engaged. You will work closely with the class teacher to create a positive, inclusive learning environment, build constructive relationships with pupils, staff and parents, and encourage participation and good behaviour

Qualifications

Have previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting.
Be patient, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children's development.
Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
Be able to use their initiative and adapt to the needs of the classroom.
Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

Support pupils during whole-class lessons, small group activities, and independent learning tasks.
Assist the class teacher with classroom organisation and preparation of resources.
Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Help create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
