Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher with QTS to join a specialist school in London. You will plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE content, with a focus on accessibility and pupil progress.

Working closely with teaching assistants and pastoral staff, you will monitor progress, differentiate instruction and maintain a calm, structured classroom that supports safeguarding and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Strong maths subject knowledge across KS3/KS4.
• Ability to plan engaging, differentiated Maths lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching for different abilities and learning needs.
• Experience in SEND/SEMH or alternative provision is advantageous.
• Clear routines, safeguarding awareness and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4 with GCSE content where appropriate.
• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible Maths lessons.
• Differentiate lessons to match individual abilities and needs.
• Develop pupils' numeracy, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress.
