Job summary

South Ayrshire Council is seeking an Early Years practitioner to join our team, assisting in delivering flexible, high quality learning and childcare for young children and families across Ayrshire communities.

This frontline role is within a regulated environment requiring PVG scheme membership; the post is temporary until 10 August 2027, grade Level 6, with a commitment to safeguarding children and enabling families to access supportive services.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme membership required before offer
• This post is Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the PVG Act 2007.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of flexible, high quality learning and childcare to meet the needs of young children and their families.
• Work as an effective member of an Early Years team to support services and programmes.
